Located adjacent to the 1925-built Cine Capitolio in the downtown Rio in the Cinelandia district. The Cine Pathe-Palacio opened in 1928 near the corner of Avenida Rio Branco. The exterior has a fresco of a naked reclining female on the facade at first floor level, each side of the entrance. It operated until the early-2000’s. It is now occupied by the Brazilian based Universal Church of the Kingdom of God(UCKG).

This cinema was apparently still substantially unchanged inside but it was in use by a church group when seen in 2008. At that time the interior was all white, which muted the original decorative elements, and cinema style seats were retained.
