Unless Google Maps is really screwed up, it appears that 33 W. Broadway is a park now.

I found this postcard which, I believe, shows the Alcazar as the building at the very left of the image. It looks like there’s a poster on a short stand between two people, and I believe I can make out “Alcazar” on the little sign protruding from the building. I can’t tell if the building is still standing today.

Andy, my mother worked at that Theatre as a teenager. She is 85 years old (still living). She and my father first dated there. Any chance you’d part with that postcard? Thanks so much.

My parents owned/operated the Fox Theatre in Ft. Meade from approximately 1950 to 1959. When they left the business and moved to California, the theater closed and never reopened. They also had owned/operated a theater in Groveland, Florida at the same time.
