The Brooksville Twin Theatre was opened on May 19, 1977. It was closed in early-September 2000. Google Maps shows a marquee along US 98 near the Pizza Hut. For some reason, it is parallel to the road, rather then perpendicular. The address is approximated from Google Maps.

Not a problem. I keep finding various ones from old newspapers and other online sources. I just wish I could get addresses for most of them.
I was one of the last managers to operate the theatre under Carmike Cinemas before I was unceremoniously let go by the company. It was a nice little theatre for what it was, a small community movie theatre, had great clientelle and a fine staff. The theatre was located off the main road behind a Wendy’s and yes the marquee was parrallel to the road. Interesting fact, one of our neighbors was a mortuary. Last I heard it had been taken over by a church.
The 400-Capacity (200 Seats For Each Screen) Brooksville Twin Began Construction On August 1, 1976. After Being Constructed, Floyd Theatres First Operated The Theater And Opened The Twin To The Public On May 19, 1977.
Throughout Its History, The Brooksville Twin Was Operated By Floyd Theatres, Cobb Theatres, And Carmike Cinemas.
The Twin Closed Its Doors For The Final Time In September 2000, Which Occurred During The First Week Of The Month.
The Brooksville Twin Theater opened to the public on May 20, 1977 after an invitation-only screening the previous night. “Airport ‘77” and “Silverstreak” opened the venue for Floyd Enterprises Theaters. During a refresh, the 2-200 seat auditoriums were reduced to 160 seats for a toal of 320 at closure. On September 10, 2000, Carmike closed its Brooksville Twin with Jennifer Lopez in “The Cell” and Eddie Murphy in “The Nutty Professor II: The Klumps.” It was retrofitted by Always Gymnastics as a gym followed by a house of worship for Landmark Baptist.
