Cobb Theatres opened the Movies 4 in 1983. This four screen cinema seated 780 and showed first run attractions until its closing on September 3, 2013. This was the only theatre in operation in Jasper which at one time had four indoor and two outdoor theatres.

The drive-in was called the 78 Drive-In.

This was not on the site of the 78 Drive-In. The parking lot and pad remaining after demolition can be seen on Google Maps “Earth” view here: https://goo.gl/maps/DZveUicvGoz and the cinema building is still visible in “Street View”.
