Opened in the late-1950’s or early-1960’s. A local drive-in theater that was operating until around 1980. A restaurant and another movie theater was built on the site.

The above address will map accurately to the location of the drive-in, which is currently occupied by Vision Max Cinema (Formerly Cinema 95).

The HiWay Drive-in was open at least as late as 1980, because I saw “The Shining” there. (It was, in fact, the last movie I ever saw at a drive-in.) I think it was demolished around late 1980/early ‘81, and the current multiplex went up soon after.
