Regal Theatre

Located in the north-eastern Victoria town of Benalla. The Regal Theatre was opened in November 1955.

The entrance is on the left of the auditorium, and the foyer runs alongside the whole length of the auditorium. Seating was provided on a stadium plan, with a raised section at the rear. It was closed as a cinema by October 1980, when it became a skating rink. In 1984 it became an indoor cricket centre.

For many years, the auditorium has been in retail use, and retains some decorative features above a false ceiling. In March 2010, the former foyer space was converted into a restaurant.
