Please update, previous operator United Artists Theatres
Took them long enough to add laser.
They finally got upgraded to Laser! https://www.imax.com/theatres/regal-new-roc-stadium-18-imax
Theatre 5 now has 4DX, new capacity 140 seats. It now has 18 more seats added.
“Justice League” is showing in 70MM on screen 3. As well as IMAX 2D; RPX 3D & 2D; Digital 2D & 3D. I was surprised by the 70MM presentation. Might check that out this weekend.
The imax screen along with the lincoln square and lefrak imax are the only ones left in the NYC area with 70mm imax projection.
I think they should upgrade this IMAX screen to laser projection. The screen is about 6 stories tall if i remember correctly. However it seems like AMC has some deals with IMAX for laser projection so maybe it won’t be as soon as I hope.
This opened on September 24th, 1999. Its grand opening ad can be found in the photo section for this cinema.

Theater 15 – 124 seats
Theater 16 (RPX) – 167 seats
Theater 17 – 145 seats
Theater 18 – 141 seats
RPX is not worth the extra money. Yes, the recliners are great, but all of the other auditoriums are slowing transitioning to them. And this RPX screen is really no bigger than the two largest auditoriums in Ridge Hill, Yonkers, NY, screens 6 and 7.
They are installing reclinners in all auditoriums and not charging extra prices for them as is done with AMC.
The Regal E-Walk on 42nd Street opened as a Loew’s. The RPX screen is Theater 13 and there is not much difference in screen size than Theater 12. Theaters 12 & 13 are the 2 largest in the complex and had the same number of seats (550 per) and large screens. Regal did put new leather seating in The RPX screen and a more elaborate sound system but the screen size looks the same. The one sheet in the lobby says that the RPX screen has Dolby Atmos but I have not been able to confirm that.
FYI: They are converting one auditorium near the inner concession stand into an RPX auditorium and it should open very soon as per management. Their Times Square RPX screen is good, but nothing great and not worth the extra money. I snuck in to briefly check it out!!!
