The Village Hall, Llangoed, was a regular venue for John Codmans Touring Party ( based in Bangor). It was built in 1910 and from 1914, showing films once a week to an audience who had only seen films from travelling fairs before. Codmans bankruptcy in 1915 spelled the end of these shows and cinema was never to return to Llangoed.
However, the Village Hall had reopened by 2023, screening films once a month.
