Alternatively known as the Mini Art or Mini Classic, this small theatre opened on June 23, 1970 with Clark Gable in “Gone With the Wind”. It played local exclusive runs of high-brow New York arthouse hits such as "Tropic of Cancer" and "Borsalino". It quickly changed name to Mini Classic Cinema and ran a series of re-released Charlie Chaplin films along with other classics such as Tod Browning’s "Freaks".
In July 1970 it had reverted to the Mini Art name and started a slow descent into hard-core porn.
