Elite Cinema

Opened in 1944, it was a brilliant wide screen cinema owned by S.M. Abdul Wahid in early-1950’s. A centrally air conditioning plant was introduced in 1960, and the Elite Cinema was renovated in 1972. After the death of Mr. Wahid it was then managed by Shaikh Saleem Ahmed until 2001 when it was closed.

It was demolished by the local council because of land dispute in 2002, but the court is still dealing with the case.
People of Hyderabad, Pakistan will never forget this excellent source of entertainment.
