The Avalon Theatre opened on February 18, 1928 with Helene Chadwick in “The Rose of Kildare”. It went through a couple names, Rex Theatre, and finally Civic Theatre.

The Civic Theatre closed in 1940 and today is in use as a restaurant.

While this is no longer a theater, the building was not demolished. It’s now being used for a restaurant called Po Pazzo.

The Avalon theatre opened on February 18th, 1928. Grand opening ad posted.
