The theatre closed on January 6, 1999. It became a church. By 2019 it had become an Aarons electrical goods store.

Opened on May 22nd, 1984, by Cineplex (of Texas, not Canada) with “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom” and “Star Trek III”. Grand opened ad posted. Taken over by Cinemark in 1986
This theatre is listed in the Houston Chronicle until 1999, appearing in Co-Op ads as a “Cinemann” theatre. It last appeared January 6, 1999.
This theatre opened under Cineplex in 1984 before the chain merged with Odeon, then ran as a $1.00 theatre under Cinemark and then independent before it closed. Add Cineplex to previous operators.
The Cineplex that operated in Texas was not the same company that operated in Canada.
Closed on January 6, 1999.
