Electric Theatre

Located on East India Dock Road, between Ida Street and St. Leonards Road. A conversion of a shop, the Empire Picture Theatre was a small cinema which opened in 1910. It was operated by the British Bioscope Manufacturing Company Ltd. In January 1913 under new owners, it was re-named Electric Theatre. It operated until around 1915 or 1916.

It reverted back to shop use, and in 2008, Perfect Fried Chicken take-a-way operates from the premises. By 2014 it was the Red Sea Restaurant.
