The Kok Sun Garden was a company showing short films in rented venue in the early 1900’s in Hong Kong.
Kok Sun is the Cantonese pronunciation of its Chinese name, literally meaning "certainly plenty and numerous."
According to an article "Hong Kong Cinematic Beginnings 1896-1908", written by Law Wai-ming, and translated by Stephen Teo, the Kok Sun Garden showed short films on 3rd December 1902 in a venue near a garden in Tsimshatsui on the Kowloon side of Hong Kong. The programme included "The Coronation of King Edward VII" and the film views of foreign countries. Chinese and Western songs were played on a phonograph.
On 16th December 1902, the Kok Sun Garden relocated to a new venue near the Central Market in the Central on the Hong Kong Island.
