The Broadway Cinema is another hall built in the typical rural Irish style of the 1930’s. The hall opened in 1936 with a showing of "Bringing Up Father" and served the local community until its closure in May 2005.
It is claimed that the cause of the closure was competition from the new Park Cinema Multiplex that opened in the nearby town of Clonakilty sometime around 2003.
