Actually rivest, Kerasotes operated the theater until its 1987 closure on September 13, 1987 with “The Lost Boys” and “Police Academy 4: Citizens On Patrol”.

When it reopened in 1989, it was independently operated. This lasted until September 7, 1995 when it closed for the final time with “Apollo 13” and “Waterworld”.

Site is now a private residence, it looks like they kept the concession building and converted it into housing or storage.

This opened on June 26th, 1954 and closed down after the 1987 season. It reopened on April 21st, 1989 and had its last season in 1995. It was owned by Hudson theatres 1954-1976 and Kerasotes 1977-1984. Grand opening ads in the photo section.

The Bel-Air did close in the late 80s, I believe. However, it did re-open after the other Richmond Drive-In, the Hi-Way Drive In, burned down. Though the reopening probably didn’t last more than a couple of years before closing permanently.
