The Kent Drive-In was opened on June 11, 1953. It was operated by the George M. Schwartz Circuit. Located just south of Dover on Route 13, it had a capacity of 450 cars. It was sold (along with the rest of the Schwartz theatres) to Fox Theatres of Reading PA in 1980. Closed about 1985. It was torn down in the late-1990’s for a Walmart.

Address above is incorrect. Approx. address was further north at 4200 South Dupont Highway, Camden, DE. The shopping center that has GameStop and its adjacent parking lot is where the drive-in stood.
Texas Roadhouse is where the entrance was located.

The address # may have changed, but the drive-in’s location stays the same. According to the map above and Google maps, the theatre is north of the woods (that are still there, BTW.)
I’m just saying with current mapping the drive-in was not located at 4275 (now Lowe’s) OR Walmart but in between.
Opened on 11/6/1955. Closed in 1986.
Opened June 11th, 1953. Grand opening ad posted.
Closed after the 1986 season.
