Located in the Lambeth district south of the River Thames. The Picture Palace was opened in early-1907 in a conversion of a shop on the ground floor of a four storey building. It was operated by W. Baker, who also operated the Electric Theatre at 41 Atlantic Road, Brixton (it has its own page on Cinema Treasures). The Picture Palace was granted a Cinematograph Licence on 1st January 1910.
