This venue’s 70mm presentations history is included in the recently-published article “70mm Presentations in Baton Rouge: A Chronology of 70mm Large Format Exhibition, 1966-Present”.

I moved to BR in 1995 and enjoyed several movies here, including Jerry McGuire (1996), the re-release of Return of the Jedi (1997), and Home Fries (1998). Was sad to see it close.

This opened as Cinema 8 – Bon Marche on December 14th, 1979. Grand opening ad posted here.
