The North Park Twin Cinema was opened by the Ogden-Perry chain at the beginning of 1975. It was located in the corner of a shopping center at Airline Highway and Plank Road with the Woolco store the main anchor of the center. The houses were identical and split evenly with around 250 seats each, with a concession stand separating them.

Some first runs were played, usually of less popular releases, but the biggest hits of its run seemed to be second runs of blockbusters such as “One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest”, whose run far exceeded the city’s first break.

By 1979, ownership of the theater had transferred to independent parties. During the early-1980’s, the bills were largely martial arts movies on one screen and X rated fare on the other. Operation ceased sometime around 1984 and the theater, along with most of the remainder of the center, was razed some years later.
