Located at the rear of the Columbia Cinema(today Curzon Soho), on Shaftesbury Avenue. Maxim’s Cinema was operating in the late-1970’s as a hardcore adult sex cinema. The cinema was located in the basement of the building. It was closed in 1982, when new obscenity regulations came into force.
‘The New Maxim’s’ video club operated from the building in the late-2000’s. It became a shop name Aqua Sheko, but this had closed in 2013.
