Hong Kong Cultural Centre Grand Theatre

The Hong Kong Cultural Centre is situated in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, by the waterfront of the Victoria Harbour. Its official opening date was 8th November, 1989. The Hong Kong Cultural Centre is windowless, with the Concert Hall and the Grand Theatre in the main building.

The 1,734-seat Grand Theatre has 788-seat stadium seating stalls, 425-seat circle, 495-seat upper circle and 26 in the boxes. The lobby and ticket booths share with the Concert Hall are on the ground floor of the building, while the main
entrance of the theatre is on the first floor.

Besides stage performances, the theatre is one of the venues of the annual Hong Kong International Film Festival.

The theatre is equipped with Simplex 35mm film projectors, and Dolby digital stereo sound system. The projector room is in the rear part of the circle. The theatre is also equipped with 4 language infra-red wireless simultaneous translation system.
