Located near the Oval Underground (tube) station, opposite Kennington Church. The Marvel Electric Theatre opened in 1910 with 220 seats, and operated until 1911. In 1912 it was known as the Hanover Hall Electric Theatre. Located adjacent to the Greyhound pub, it was closed sometime after 1915.
In 2008, the premises are in retail use as a Payless supermarket,

Just to correct a historical error here, as this cinema was not a shop conversion as stated, nor did it close in 1915.
