Cine-Parc St-Eustache

Cine-Parc St-Eustache opened as a twin screen drive-in in 1971. A third screen was added on August 4, 1972. In 2005 two more screens were added. This is a large drive-in with a capacity for 3,300 cars.

English and French language films were shown until 2005, but only French language films are shown now. Cine-Parc St-Eustache operates from April to September.

Some mistakes, Lost Memory, According to La Presse (newspaper) the 3rd screen added in 1972 and two more added in 1979. Also this is the largest drive-in outside of the USA. I have the grand opening ad on page 53 of my Montréal website at . This is one of the original five theatres in Montréal to show Star Wars. Others are CP Chateauguay, Cote Des Neiges (2 screens), Place Bonaventure, Place Victoria

An excellent French language website about drive-ins can be found at

English movies returned in 2014. One screen shows English movies on Thursday nights. I went this summer, 2015. I saw “Fantastic Four” and “Agent 47” one week, and the following week, “No Escape” and “Selfless”. It was fun to be back at a drive-in, and all the screens are digital projection. I sort of missed the look of 35 mm film, but digital projection is brighter. I hope they continue to show English movies on Thursdays, or have one screen show English films for the entire summer.

  • 3 écrans le 4 août 1972. Impossible d'obtenir l'annonce de la grande ouverture française depuis que La Presse était en grève.

  • 3 screens on August 4th, 1972. Could not get the French grand opening ad since La Presse was on strike.
