Stude Theatre

The Stude Theatre opened at 7:00 p.m. on November 16, 1939. The premier feature was “East Side of Heaven” with Bing Crosby and Joan Blondell. The Stude Theatre was billed as ‘Houston’s New Theatre of Tomorrow’, with RCA high fidelity sound, large comfortable seats, and air-conditioning.

The Stude Theatre building still stands, and the Resurrection Life Fellowship now meets there.

Subsequent to being the Resurrection of Life Fellowship it became the Stude Revival Center. I have uploaded a photo as Resurrection of Life and one as the Revival Center.
