The Ritz Theatre was owned and operated by Theatre Owners Corp. It opened late-1927/early-1928. It was renovated and reopened on November 20, 1941 with Robert Montgomery in “Here Comes Mr. Jordan” & Robert Benchley in “The Reluctant Dragon”. It was closed in the mid-1950’s. Seating was listed at 600. The building became a church. It had been demolished by 2020 and the site is a grassed over plot.

Seen my first movie here in 1949.
If the Ritz Theatre was in the Pleasant Ridge section of Cincinnati, then it might have been this project noted in the July 22, 1927, issue of Motion Picture News:
“Woodmont” would be an easy mistake for Woodburn, and typical of the error-ridden, hastily-assembled trade journals of the period. Howard McClorey designed the Hyde Park Theatre, located about a mile east of the Ritz. This opened on November 20th, 1941. Grand opening ad posted.
