Trolley Square is a unique mall which was built inside the old trolley garages on a block of Salt Lake City. The Flick Theater was a two-screen theater built in part of one of the smaller buildings. The theater was originally part of the Commonwealth Theaters chain who opening it on December 22, 1976. It later closed and was reopened by Mann Theaters, and was taken over by Carmike Cinemas.
Like the Trolley Theaters across from it, the Flick Theater featured murals of classic movie characters on its exterior walls. The theater was the second of four movie complexes at the mall, which at their height, totaled 13 screens. The theater closed April 16, 1998 and the space has since been converted to retail.

Took a date to see Star Trek Generations. It was snowing so hard we had to leave before the movie was underway. Got home safely, married the girl.
There were large murals depicting iconic movie stars of the past (Chaplin, Gable, etc).
Grand opening ad posted.
