The Ionia Drive-In opened on June 18, 1953. The ozoner was listed with a car capacity of 300 with a single screen. It was operated by Wisper-Wetsman Theatres. The drive-in closed sometime around 1985. It has since been demolished. The address given is on S. State Road which is also M-66.

A slightly more accurate address (at least for Google) is 3324 S. State Street, Ionia, MI.
This is not to be nit-picky, but instead to avoid confusion with the recent opening of Danny Boy’s Drive-In Movie Theater which sits on the opposite side of the road and just to the south.
Today, Capital Equipment sits on the property, but you can still see some of the ramps. http://tinyurl.com/jpyl4qb
Danny Boy’s did not reopen this year due to well water issues.

Google Maps has updated their addresses and this puts it on the property.
The ramps have faded considerably over the past few years. You can barely see the outline today.
