The New Theatre was open prior to 1941. Located on E. Main Street at S. Broadway. Seems that the name ‘NEW’ was a popular name for theatres in Arkansas. The theatre building is now used for retail purposes. Information from the Arkansas Historical magazine. It didn’t list when the theatre closed. Part of the article on this theatre indicated that the theatre was still open in the early 1950’s.
