Rex Theatre

The Rex Theatre is located on N. Oak Street at W. Center Street. The Rex Theatre was open in the early-1940’s, and was still open in 1950, but they didn’t list a closing date. The theatre is still standing and was used for retail as a discount store until 2014. Info from the Arkansas Historical Society magazine.

Description is misleading. This is not on a corner, it’s well down the block, closer to Bell St. It was abandoned by 2014.

I added a 2016 photo. You can just make out a faded ‘Discount’ on the facade. I’d guess the storefront is from the late ‘50s to mid '60s.
