Built on the site of an earlier Napier Theatre which burnt in 1951. The new, now classic vintage theatre, was built in 1952 and opened in 1953. It was fully restored in 1996 and again in 2005. Showing first run movies six nights a week in DTS digital sound.

The original Napier Theatre opened on September 19, 1919 with Raymond Hatton in “The Whispering Chorus” (unknown if extras added), and was destroyed by a fire on December 5, 1951.
