I don’t know if this is the same place or not, but the September 5, 1930 issue of The National Exhibitor reported that the newly remodeled and redecorated Nottoway Theatre in Blackstone, Virginia, had reopened for the fall and winter season. Three shows a week would be presented.

Definitely Nottowa, Blackstone is in Nottoway County. The Nottowa first appears in the 1931 Yearbook, with 285 seats. Beginning in 1940, the capacity is listed as 499. Sometime between 1946 and 1951, it increases again. There must have been a relocation or expansion. Hopefully someone can provide an actual address.

LM: In the 1941 & 1943 editions of Film Daily Yearbook, it is spelt “Nottowa”, so not sure which is correct.
