This opened for Curtis Brothers as the Lyric Picture Theater late in 1913 likely on a 15-year leasing agreement at 521 Main Street. In 1914, it lost “Picture” becoming the Lyric Theatre. It was then operated from 1928 to closure by Loretta Cecelia Rafferty and Floyd Raffetry who both equipped for sound to remain viable and converted to it widescreen projection to present CinemaScope titles. They closed on Labor Day, September 5, 1966 with “The Trouble With Angels.”
