David Kilderry writes - The late John McKenzie did an excellent job of running and expanding the Cameo. He did everything he could to retain it but the high interest rates on the borrowings from Pyramid for Cinemas 2 and 3 expansion were crippling and Village Knox 10 had also opened down the highway and gave the Cameo some strong competition.
