The UA Ambassador 10 was opened on April 19, 1996. Later becoming the Grand 14 - Ambassador, it is equipped with stadium seating, with high back chairs. It also has a games room and speciality cafe.

Was the original UA theatre that was here demolished entirely to make way for the Grand or was it incorporated into the new theatre?
If the information about this particular theater is correct within its entry on Mike Rivest list of Northern Louisiana theaters, the answer is that it was incorporated. UA opened and operated it first; Regal apparently took over in 2002. At the end of Regal’s term of management, it was known as the Ambassador 10, though it is not clear from the entry how many screens it had when it opened or if UA or Regal added any screens to the original number. It was then taken over by Southern in 2007. That company added four screens and modified the name.
Two screens were added in the back and two more added up front according to the older aerial photos at Google Earth.
I have uploaded aerials of the theatre before and after its' renovation in the photo section.
It was renovated to the appearance of the grand 16. Looks nothing like the old United Artists did.
Any latest updates on this theatre and when it reopen since the shooting?
