Strange. In the ‘71 photo it’s Pastime, in the 1986 photo it’s Bryant’s Inc. Google Street view which is fairly current, shows the old Pastime marquee.
From The Reel Journal, March 22, 1924: “W. A. Halley, architect of Warren, Ark., is preparing plans for the Pastime Theatre, Warren. It will cost approximately $20,000. ”
This theatre is pictured on the cover of Paul Theroux’s new book, “Deep South.” It’s about the author’s travels around several southern states. (This picture looks identical to the cover photo, which is credited to and copyrighted by Steve McCurry.)
