The Idol Theater was operating prior to 1941.
William Burnside owned the Idol Theater in the early-1960s. ‘Idol’ is an anagram of Lodi, which is presumably how the theater got its name.

Just visited Lodi. The theater and building are nowhere to be found. Some of the locals say it was torn down by 1985 at the latest. I was told that the First Merit bank now occupies the lot that the theater was on.
