Functions: Movies (Film Festivals)
This small screening room inside the Blackstone Valley Visitor Center is used primarily to show short historical films on continuous loop. It also plays host to the annual Pawtucket Film Festival in September and a variety of community events throughout the year. Built as the Peerless department store in 1970, the building was renovated into the Visitor Center, theater, and offices in 1999 and was renamed the Benjamin C. Chester building. Fifty of the ninety theater seats were rescued from the nearby Leroy Theater during its demolition in 1997.
