Operating in 1937 as the New Theatre, it had a 22 feet wide proscenium, a 20 feet deep stage and three dressing rooms. By 1944, it had been re-named Glynn-neath Theatre and this continued until around 1954, when it became the New Theatre again.
It was a second run and independently operated hall, and it was still operational in 1965.
