Not to be confused with the Astor Theatre of 1920-1929 on Wabasha Street, downtown, which has its own page on Cinema Treasures.
This opened as the Palace Theatre in 1914. It was renamed Concord Theatre in 1926 when it was taken over by the Finkelstein & Ruben chain. In 1928 it was renamed Astor Theatre. Seating was listed at 596. The Astor Theatre operated as a movie theatre until 1976.
In 1982 it was a retail outlet called the House of Statures(?). For a while it was a sewing and alteration business and the building went up for sale. Looking at the building in recent years there was no hint that it was once a movie theatre. It was demolished around 2012.
