Opened as the 5-Point Drive-In October 3, 1947. In 1952 it was renamed Sunset Drive-In. The Sunset Drive-In was located on Highway 62 at Brownfield Highway. It was closed in November 1963.

A theater ad from 1959 for the Sunset Drive In in Lubbock.
In 1956 it held as mentioned above 350 cars it was owned in 1956 by P.E.Smith .He also owned the TRAIL DRIVE IN.in Lubbock.
The Sunset/Five Points Drive-in located on the South/West corner of intersections 34th Street, Slide Rd, and Brownfield Why.
Approx. address for this drive-in was 3402 Slide Road.
Grand opening ad as Five Point Drive-In from October 3rd, 1947 in photo section. It was the first drive-in to open in the area.
According to old maps, the site is located at the southwest corner of Slide and Marsha Sharp. The site is basically a triangle shape where the screen and the front of the drive in kinda where CVS is at and the back of the site is demarcated by city bank drive.
Boxoffice, Aug. 15, 1948: “LUBBOCK, TEX. – Texas Rep. Preston Smith of Lubbock has added the Five Points (sic) Drive-In. He also operates the State, Tech and Plains theatres here.”
