Memorial Hall

Located in Newport, Pembrokeshire. This was a miner’s welfare association cinema, institute and dance hall. It was opened around 1907. It became the Memorial Hall and by 1934 was equipped with a Morrison sound system, screening films one night a week. Affectionally known as the Memo Hall, it was closed around 1965.

The building still stands intact in 2009, and the projectors are still position in the operating box.
