The Crytal Theatre was opened May 2, 1972. An intimate setting below a restaurant on Missoula’s ‘hip strip’. It specialized in second run, foreign and eclectic films. A gem in the rough!

I took my wife-to-be here for our first date in 1976, a “Festival of Animation” was on the venue. It ended up being one of the most memorable nights of my life. I haven’t been to the Crystal lately but after being reminded of here I will be returning soon.
