The Scenic Theater was Whitewright’s very first and short lived movie theater, opening on September 20, 1912. It was closed in 1914.

The Scenic Theater In Whitewright Was Known To Be The First Theater In Whitewright Opened Its Doors To The Public On September 20th, 1912 With An Unknown Program. A Day Later, Triple Unknown Programs Were Shown. As I Can’t Find A Lot Of Detail About This Theater. The Theater Sometime Only Lasted For A Very Short Amount Of Time, Despite Being A Popular Theater As It Closed Its Doors Sometime In 1914.
