The Bijou Theatre is listed in the 1941 edition of Film Daily Yearbook. At that time it was the only movie theatre in the town. Still listed in 1943, but it was (Closed). It possibly closed around 1940-1941 when the Cameo Theatre opened in the town.

The MGM Theatre Photograph and Report form for the Cameo Theatre in Uxbridge is dated May 1941 and states that there were no competing movie theatres in town. This implies that the Bijou was closed as of May 1941.
