The Cozy Theater opened in 1913. In 1940 it was renamed Rialto Theater. It closed in 1958, when it was sold and converted to a furniture store.

The 1960 Boxoffice article that mentioned the closing of the theater referred to the Cozy, which was how I added it. There was some editing done as apparently the theater was also called the Rialto. I don’t imagine there were two theaters in Truman that would account for the discrepancy.
The Truman history web page cited in earlier comments also says that the “Avon Theatre opened for the first time” in 1934. Could that have been another aka for this house? Prior to the 1950 census, Truman’s population was always below 1000, so I can’t imagine the town supporting two theaters at once. Either there must have been a name change, or the Cozy was closed and the Avon was a new theater that replaced it.
