This was at Route 45 & Rocky Branch Road.
Approx. address for this drive-in was 3000 Liberty Ridge Rd, Metropolis, IL 62960.
Was this the same Ed Clark that owned the Massac?

Boxoffice, Aug. 23, 1952: “METROPOLIS, ILL. - Construction is proceeding rapidly on the Joppa Auto-Vue Drive-In near here on U.S. 45 adjacent to the Joppa road. The Joppa and El Capitan drive-ins and the Massac and Royal theatres here are owned by the Massac Amusement Co., headed by Ed Clark.”
The Auto Vue most likely opened around 1954, as a 1952 aerial view shows empty land, while a 1955 aerial view shows the theater in fairly new condition. A 1965 aerial view shows some very small buildings being placed on traces, but I don’t know if that cause the theater to close.
