15th St.and Fremont St. was very popular venue for us kids in those days, (Now all dilapidated and drug haven) halfway between Huntridge Theatre and the downtown 3, it was a single screen theater and standard concession counter, nothing fancy like lodge seats and crying rooms as the other theaters had at the time.. That area of Fremont was once a very busy and bustling business district until the 70’s. the Theater was later turned into a Higgins Bicycle shop, then a print shop in the 70’s. Up the street right at the intersection (now empty lot) was a Mayfair/Foodland Market and Walgreens with Chinese lunch counter. I can’t for the life of me remember the name of the theater and I’m pretty sure it was not called ‘Vegas Theatre’ in the 50’s and 60’s when we frequented the place. When it comes to me I’ll update here. I updated you map-view to show the building as it stands as of 2012
