Very fond memories of this theater from when I was a youth in the early 80s. More than once a James Bond film festival would run, usually coinciding with the latest Roger Moore installment. What a privilege to say I’ve seen every one of them, from Dr. No to A View to a Kill, on such a luxurious large screen!
As I recall the balcony alone was so large that by the end of the decade they had converted it into two small screens, while the main floor was repurposed into shopping/commercial space.
If anyone could share some facts from that era I would be very much obliged. How large was the screen? How many did it seat (stalls+balcony)? Does anyone else have more photos they could add?
