A May 26, 1945 article in Box Office magazine refers to the owner of Cabool’s Cozy Theatre opening up a new theater (unnamed in the article). Apparently this was to be the State Theatre and the Cozy Theatre was closed after it opened. In the 1951 Film Daily Yearbook, only the State Theatre is listed as the sole movie theater in Cabool. In the 1945 Film Daily Yearbook, only the Cozy Theatre had been listed. The State Theatre operated at least into the mid-1950s.
